Early Start For The Whitaker 60’s Weekend

The Whitaker will be starting early with their lead up to the Rossendale 60’s Festival weekend. Attractions include:

Wednesday 7th September featuring a classic 60’s acoustic night from 7.30pm

Thursday 8th September will see a large screen viewing of the famous 60’s classic ‘Kes’ from 7.30pm

Friday 9th September will see the launch of the Rossendale 60’s Festival proper with the children from the Wonderful Whitaker project, coached by Sean Ruane setting the festival off at 6.30pm, and from 7.00pm set from Band of Brian and Kelly’s Heroes

Saturday 10th September sees ‘Whitstock’ including flower power, art, family clowning and live music from Soul Revolution at 2.00pm and headlining at Whitstock ‘The Threetles’ at 3.30pm

Sunday 11th September will feature The Clog market set in the courtyard of Whitaker park plus 60’s acoustic from Liam and Sarah
