Today is the final day of this years Rossendale 60’s Festival and arguably the best day if you are a baby, toddler or a scooter fanatic. Check out the programme as see what you think:
The Whitaker will be hosting The Clog Market from 11.00am-3.00pm. The market will be in the courtyard, along the walled street, entry via the main courtyard gates or the secret magic door! They will have the regular range of quality stallholders selling Vintage, Handmade, Artisan and Food plus a 60’s acoustic set from Liam and Sarah
Scoot Rossendale will be hosted by Bacup Cricket Club from 12.00 midday with music provided by Burnley based Northern Soul DJ Keiron Woodward and Accrington band ‘The Inciders’, spread their love of Ska and Reggae Music. They play a variety of Ska and Reggae Music from across the decades…From Toots and The Maytals to The Specials…From Bob Marley to UB40 and the Clash!!
The Horse and Bamboo Theatre will be hosting ‘Baby Boogie’experience, which will be a sensory Baby Disco set to 60s music. Think psychedelic fashion, flower power and most important rock n roll! This truly unique event is planned for the afternoon with lots of opportunity to dance, interact and get involved. This event is sure to be the grooviest of the year for you and your little one and builds on the already successful interactive immersive theatre performances and play session for babies, toddlers and young children, including the recent ‘Babies in Space’ event.
The Crown Inn in Bacup will be hosting a DJ set playing your favourite 60’s tunes in the afternoon
The Artisan will be hosting the modest Matt who will be dropping his 60’s 7″ vinyl including soul, motown, northern, ska psych and much more including a vintage market from around 2pm onwards. In the evening another fabulous musical treat beckons with a guest spot from David Segall Courtenay (an amazing musician from California who is in the uk for the first leg of his euro tour!!!!!) playing some classic 60’s covers in the evening from 8pm!!!
