The Artisan Rawtenstall Will Be Getting In The Groove Again For This Years 60’s Festival Weekend


Beth and Danny Solazzo, owners of The Artisan in Rawtenstall have confirmed that they will be putting together a programme of Live and DJ sets for the Rossendale 60’s Festival on the weekend of 8th, 9th and 10th September.

Artisan Rawtenstall is renowned as one of the premier live music venues in the Northwest. They  planned an amazing weekend to celebrate the 60’s era in 2016, kicking off on the Thursday with an acoustic set of 60’s classics from the very talented Eoin Kelly from local band Kelly’s Heroes


Follow on from the Festival launch on the Friday evening, Artisan had ‘Original Replica’, an incredible late 50’s and 60’s tribute band followed by a Disco


On the Saturday, they had a 60’s open mic with John Doyle from 3pm until 7pm. At 8.00pm, Chris Allen from 60’s bands The Troggs and The Animals brought his live set to The Artisan Stage with DJ Bunter playing 60’s classics all night!


On the Sunday, Modest Matt dropped in with his 60’s 7″ vinyl including soul, motown, northern, ska psych and a vintage market. In the evening another fabulous musical treat happened with a guest spot from David Segall Courtenay (an amazing musician from California who was in the uk for the first leg of his european tour playing some classic 60’s covers.


This years programme is still in development, but if last year is anything to go by, you won’t want to miss it. watch this space for details
