The Whitaker Will Be Delivering Again For This Years 60’s Festival

The Whitaker Museum and Art Gallery is not what most people imagine. Far from it!   The Whitaker’s success is mainly due to the teams innovative approach to activities and events that are staged at the museum. It has been at the centre of the Rossendale 60’s Festival since its concept, and has grown year on year.

Here are some of the  highlights from last years Festival including the performance of the Wonderful Whitaker Childrens Choir who opened the Launch event

The children were followed by brilliant sets from ‘Band of Brian’ and ‘Kelly’s Heroes’ who both played popular 60’s music

Saturday saw ‘Whitstock’ at the Whitaker, where there were sets from the Fantastic ‘Soul Revolution’ and back by popular demand the fabulous ‘Threetles’. They both completely blew the audience away.

Sunday saw the Clog market at the Whitaker, which was busy and looked perfect in the street alongside the Whitaker stables and was boosted by an acoustic set by Liam and Sarah.
