The Rossendale 60’s Festival Makes It To The Final Of The Northern Soul Awards 2017

Northern Soul Awards 2017 Finalist Badge

The Rossendale 60’s Festival has been shortlisted for the final of this years Northern Soul Awards. These awards are a showcase and a reward for the very best in Northern flair, creativity and, of course, soul.

The Rossendale 60’s Festival is a finalist in the Music Festival Of The Year category, but has strong competition from 4 other events. However, the organisers feel that they have a strong chance, as the Rossendale 60’s Festival is unique in that it is a festival that is inclusive of many towns and villages in the Rossendale valley and encourages community engagement and collaboration.

The awards will take place on 29 June 2017 at the Hilton, Deansgate in Manchester, and will reward organisations across 27 diverse categories reflecting the culture and artistic breadth in the North.

This is the fifth year of the Festival and we as organisers would like to sincerely thank each and every event, organisation and venue that has supported the Festival over those years and will be doing again this year. We are extremely pleased that our Festival is being recognised as one of the best quality Festivals in the Northwest, but we are not complacent, and are striving to make the Festival even bigger and better for 2017. So we are inviting other groups in the Rossendale community to join us for this years Festival. So if you have an idea for a 60’s themed event, please contact Barry at or Pete at and we will be glad to discuss you idea with you.
