‘Scoot Rossendale’ at Bacup Cricket Club had its first outing at last year’s Rossendale 60’s Festival, and it proved a great success. It will again be staged at Bacup Cricket Club on Sunday 10th September, and is expected to be even better. The event will start with a ‘Ride In’ from TESCO in Rawtenstall (adjacent Rawtenstall Station) at 10.30am to arrive at Bacup Cricket Club at 10.45am. There will be stalls including kandy korner (retro sweets) , wooden plaques scooter/band themed pyrography , bouncy castle , face painter , Stephen Lord , lifestylish.com ( bedding and gifts ) , stylesceneuk.co.uk , Sarah goodchild (local artist) , and patches available for £2 on the day . If anyone else wants a stall please contact Darren Ashworth or Pauline Clawson. Pitches are only £10 .There is also the return of the very popular Ska/ Reggae band ‘The Inciders’ who will be performing and DJ ‘2 Tone’ Tony Kennedy, who loves vespas and playing Northern Soul, Weller, Kinks, Small Faces, The Who, Ska, and 2 Tones, and in response to feedback from those who attended last year, the organisers have recognised that competition between scooter owners is essential to any rally. So the organisers will be holding a competition with Trophies for Best Vespa, Lambretta, Auto and Custom Scooter. There will be a small £2 entry charge, but will include entry to a raffle. For further information please contact Pauline Clawson at Bacup Cricket Club on: 01706 873286 or Mob: 07932 436039
