The organisers of the amazing Rossendale 60s Festival are pleased to announce that the event will be going ahead this year on the weekend of 8th, 9th and 10th September
The Festival is recognised as one of the biggest and most community orientated event in the Rossendale events calendar, and provides great opportunities for businesses to generate much needed income and provide their customers, new and old, with an amazing 60s experience. The Festival also offers the opportunity for community groups to engage with their community through the ever popular theme of the 60s
We are so lucky to have a number of venues throughout Rossendale that have been a part of the 60s Festival family from the beginning and will continue to be a vital part of the Festival, particularly in their local communities. These include pubs, bars community groups and music venues who stage a broad range of themed events that their customers and community members really enjoy and will be published and promoted as part of the Rossendale 60s Festival programme through Rossendale Radio, local press and social media. You too can host an event in your community which can include music, food, drink, art, fashion. Really anything 60s. This year’s Festival is being organised in collaboration with Rossendale Radio who will be promoting the Festival on the airwaves and for the first time hosting a major 60s themed event, ‘Sixties on the Square’ on Rawtenstall Town Square on Saturday 9th September. It will incorporate 60s music performances from a number of artists, plus other attractions to be announced. A great opportunity to get your 60s gear out and get in the groove. This new element is hoping to drawn hundreds of visitors to the town and help create an amazing atmosphere.
